A beautiful old house with loads of character and modern amenities The parking at the hall is good for 5 cars, not large SUV type as the old entrance is tight and has to be negotiated. We have had four generations here in one party, age range 6 -87, and everyone loved the space and the way the house is laid out.  We particularly liked the fact that the living accommodation is not open plan. "An amazing property with a great history back to the 1600s and lead mining. Set an a beautiful village with PO, general store and 2 pubs close to Matlock and access to the Peak District.
Everything was beautiful with the house and really well kitted out with all we needed. Lovely welcome box and good house instructions. Warm and cosy. Catered for all ages and abilities. "A stunning property in which to celebrate my Father in Laws 80th birthday for the weekend. Plenty of space for everyone, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped (some plastic plates for the young ones would have been handy). The garden and outside space is lovely, perhaps we will return in the Summer to make better use of it next time! We had a caterer come in and cook for us one evening which was fantastic.
